Seattle Storm – Floppy Flare

The Seattle Storm used this set during their 2020 championship season. The play starts with a floppy action. The shooter chooses to either come off a double screen or a single screen. In this case, the shooter chooses to come off the side of the double screen. A pass is made from the point to the wing and then immediately back to the point. A flare screen is then set for the shooter again, making her defender run off multiple screens and allows all the attention to shift to the shooter. This allows the screener to slip to the rim and finish easily around the rim. Great set from Coach Dan Hughes!
