X’s & O’s Showcase – Oregon State – Elbow Corner

A lot of different action can happen after an elbow entry, a pass from the point guard to a post player at the elbow. Here, Oregon State set a back screen on the point guard to either flare to the corner or run to the rim. She chose the latter here after seeing her defender get stuck on the screen. Because of the Beavers ability to shoot the three, the defense was not in a possession to help so they gave up a wide open layup. This was great basketball from Scott Rueck’s group.
