X’s & O’s Showcase – UCONN – DHO Burn Empty

Geno Auriemma called this action for UCONN to get a layup in the 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship. After the DHO, Arizona denied the hand off for the guard to curl to the rim so the UCONN post player went directly into a pick and roll. There was no help in the lane because the guard ran hard to the corner after the missed DHO. This left the lane wide open for the ball handler to get all the way to the rim. Excellent execution from the UCONN Huskies.
